Firefox crashes
Hi,Firefox 76.0.1 crashes almost every time I exit Firefox. I'm not a programmer.This has been going on for months.

Are you still have sync turned off? Make sure.
The places.sqlite file contains your History and Bookmarks. And its possible it is corrupted.
Type about:support<enter> in the address bar.
Under the page logo on the left side, you will see Application Basics. Under this find Profile Folder.
To its right press the button Show Folder. This will open your file browser to the current Firefox profile. Now Close Firefox.
Locate the above file. Then rename or delete it. Restart Firefox.
The browser should then create a new place.sqlite and recover your bookmarks from the backup files.
Note: Your history is not backed up and will be lost.

In the address bar, type about:crashes<enter>. Note: If any reports do not have BP- in front of the numbers/letters, click it to submit them.
The crash report is several pages of data. We need the report numbers to see the whole report.
Using your mouse, mark the most recent 7 - 10 Submitted crash reports, and copy them. Now go to the reply box and paste them in.

If you have sync, and there is a problem anywhere, Shut Down Sync Immediately On All Devices to prevent the problem from spreading. Once the problem is fixed, perform the same repair on all computers/profiles before using sync again.
[v57+] Places Maintenance is built into Firefox.
Type about:support<enter> in the address bar.
You will find Places Database near the bottom. Press the Verify Integrity button.
When done, copy and post the results here.
I disconnected all devices from sync. Still crashing. This seemed to have fix the crashes. You are correct about bookmarks. My bookmarks have some how exploded with20 duplicates of each book marks.Is there a way to clean up the bookmarks without having to delete one at a time? It took me over 1 hr to do part of just one computer.
