Playing around in server 2016 Datacenter. I used internet explorer to download google chrome. I tried to use internet explorer and chrome to download Firefox but I get a DNS error on both. Not only can I not download firefox but on the server I cannot access any support.mozilla page. I have flushed DNS, restarted the service, restarted TCP/IP and disabled windows firewall. I am able to browse to other sites. Any ideas about why I am unable to install firefox?

Is there any reason that AWS IP address ranges would be blocked on that system?

Sorry for the late reply.

They should not be blocked to my knowledge. Though since you have mentioned it I cannot access aws.amazon from the VMs either.

I should clarify that this problem only occurs on my Server 2016 that is actually hosted inside of Hyper-V with AD and IIS roles installed. The Host Hyper-V system can navigate to and download anything including Firefox but none of the Hyper-V VMs can.

Well, my issue was fixed by removing my virtual switches and then re applying. Maybe I had messed up that configuration somehow. Though im not sure why I would still be able to access the internet on the previous configuration. Any who thank you for the speedy response and help. Best of luck!
