A.lightning strike took out my router recently and my new Netgear unit created its own network (?) causing log in problems with a couple of my regular sites. Not sure if the problem is being caused by or something else, but after days of trying to solve the problem, I’m turning to you guys for help. Is there a way to clear the decks and create brand new passwords for both TB and FF? Many thanks for your help.

Well, I can help with the TB ... You have to change your Passwords with your Service Provider - trying to change passwords in TB will just get you an error. If you want to try to set up your existing accounts with your existing passwords try this: First, Back up your Profile folder somewhere safe. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profiles-where-thunderbird-stores-user-data Next, Create a NEW Profile. http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_Manager#Accessing_the_Profile_Manager Under the Help Menu choose Troubleshooting Information On that Tab look at the bottom line of the first section Application Basics marked Profiles click the link marked about:profiles When the Profile Manager Opens click the New Profile Button. Go ahead and set up your email accounts like brand new ... If you can't log in ... it's probably still your network.
