The browserconfig.properties file was used in older Firefox versions to set a localized homepage. This has been changed in Firefox 63 to have support for non-localized homepages, so seeing a reference to this file is likely a leftover from an older Firefox version.

You can check the homepage setting.

Firefox supports multiple homepages separated by '|' (pipe) symbols.

Are you saying that the entire user profile doesn't exist? This doesn't seem right according to the other information.

Since this is a user profile issue, a tip: Removing the firefox.app will not change the user data saved in your user profile, so if there is a problem with that, a reinstall generally doesn't help.

Can you navigate to the directory listed and check for the language pack in question? An easy method in Firefox: Menu → Help → Troubleshooting Information. On this page click "open directory" by the profile directory listing.

If the language pack is not present or possibly corrupt in Users/steve_switzer/Library/Application Support/Firefox/Profiles/0fyb29ph.default/extensions/ you can get a copy here https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/english-gb-language-pack/

(Is English your primary language, and is that the language version of Firefox you downloaded? I am kind of surprised for the location of the langpack - it isn't installed globally.)

Does this message appear after installation, or every time you start Firefox? If you do not see the message again. it probably doesn't even matter. :)

Best of luck, let us know how you get on.
