Export/import settings and passwords
I expect to migrate Tbird to a new computer in the next few days. I know that address books can be export/imported, but is there a way to export/import the various account settings, and option configurations so that a new install on a different computer can be easily setup with prior use data? If so, how?

The following will copy everything from old to new.
Assuming both the old and the new computer are Windows OS. Install Thunderbird on new computer and run once to create a default profile - do not create an account.
Exit Thunderbird on both computers - this is important.
On old computer: Access profile located here:
- C:\Users\<Windows user name>\AppData\Roaming\Thunderbird
- Copy the 'Thunderbird' folder
On new computer: Access profile located here:
- C:\Users\<Windows user name>\AppData\Roaming\Thunderbird
- Delete the default 'Thunderbird' folder
- Paste your copied 'Thunderbird' folder (from old computer) into the 'Roaming' folder.
Then start Thunderbird.

Actually, this did not work.
I followed the list, and copied the profile, but on re-starting the new TB, it said the profile was corrupt. Tried several times, all failed. Only thing that did work was to install TB in a completely different folder location start it and then laboriously copy/insert settings from another laptop installation of TB: took literally hours instead of one click.
This process needs a lot more work!!
