Thunderbird Repeated Password Requests - New Issue
After working fine for a long time, last night Thunderbird 60.9.0 (Win 7) required password reentry on all POP accounts, sometimes working and sometimes not. Each time I checked the box to remember them but the requests happened over and over. I checked the passwords in Thunderbird options and they appear correct. I tried to delete them all and start the process over with mixed results; sometimes they work and sometimes they don't and the requests continue. Was there a recent update that I may have gotten on 9/17/19 that might be causing it? What might be the cause?

The first step I'd recommend is to select Help/Troubleshooting Information, click Open Folder, close TB, and delete pkcs11.txt.
If that doesn't help, try deleting the 3 files: key4.db, cert9.db and logins.json (reference).
