Safe to Delete Old Sub-Folders in Thunderbird Profile?
My Profile folder is descended, generation by generation, from at least 2012. There are some sub-folders in there that haven't been touched in years (e.g., some copies of email from a time I used IMAP several years ago, and something called "TestPilotExperimentFiles" from way back in 2012). Needless to say, all this is useless clutter.
Is it safe to simply delete these folders via File Manager, or would that somehow create some problem I'm not imagining?

I'd create a full Thunderbird profile backup first while Thunderbird is closed. https://support.mozilla.org/kb/profiles-where-thunderbird-stores-user-data#w_backing-up-a-profile
Then delete the stuff you don't need anymore and start Thunderbird. If something goes wrong you can simply restore the backed up profile. https://support.mozilla.org/kb/profiles-where-thunderbird-stores-user-data#w_restoring-a-profile-backup
