Get All and Select All buttons
Before the recent API change, i was able to install an add-on that provided two buttons I use a lot: Get All messages (retrieve messages for all the configured accounts), and Select All (mark all the messages in the inbox).
The lack of those buttons in the current versions of Thunderbird has prevented me from upgrading to those versions.
Is there an add-on avaialable (and that works in the current version) that provides the functionality?
I don't know of another Select All button, but the one created on the button-creator page above works in TB 60 (see picture).Funda le mpendulo ngokuhambisana nalesi sihloko 1

There are several add-ons that provide buttons to get or mark messages, so if you could provide links to the ones you used, we can propose alternatives or possibly see if the old add-ons can be made to work in TB 60.
There is a built-in option to right-click a folder, Mark Folder Read, and the Get Messages button has Get All New Messages in the drop-down.
The buttons I used in earlier versions, but did not work in current versions are from this add-on:
Toolbar Buttons by Button Guy.
I tried to use that add-on with the current version, but it did not work.
If it matters, I use Thunderbird on Linux Mint and on Windows 7.
I've seen those two workarounds you mention, however, both require multiple clicks, as opposed to a single, simple, click of a button.
Once I got accustomed to the ease of that single click, having to revert to multiple clicks for the same functionality was not desired.
Thanks for your reply.
Toolbar Buttons 1.1.1 doesn't work in TB 60, although the latest comment indicates it can be made to partly work. It is possible to create a button add-on to Select All the messages in a folder (tested in TB 60.8), but for getting messages, I suggest the Get Selected Mails add-on.
It looks like Get Selected Mail can do what I need (the default config looks OK). Thanks!
Unfortunately, when I install Toolbar Buttons, and then I go into Customize to drag buttons to the toolbar, there does not seem to be any "new" buttons of added to the pool of buttons. That's what i saw the last time i tried it a while ago.
Do you know of any other add-ons that have a "Select All" button?
Thanks again for you help.
I don't know of another Select All button, but the one created on the button-creator page above works in TB 60 (see picture).
I used the button creator page you suggested, and the Select All button it created works well.
Thank-you for you excellent assistance on this matter!
