a program I was attempting to download corrupted firefox and now I cannot recover or reinstall. help.
When I try to reinstall Firefox I get "profile missing or inaccessible." I did locate the old profile file but can't seem to copy it anywhere. Tried all the suggestions online but none successful. Please help.

That seems like the second profile listed in profiles.ini. Did you want to try moving the
Default=1
line from the first profile to that second one?

This error message is a problem with the profiles.ini file, see:
This file maps Firefox profiles to a location on the hard drive. You get this error message when this file exists, but the profile marked as Default=1 in the file isn't found.
If you have an existing profile then you can use the Profile Manager to create a new profile and use the Choose folder button to point to this specific profile. Otherwise you can use the Profile Manager to create a new profile.
On Windows the location used for the main profile folder that keeps your personal data is in "AppData\Roaming" (Root Directory on about:profiles).
- C:\Users\<user>\AppData\Roaming\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\<profile>\
I found the old profile file...Default=1 is there but it's listed under Profile0. Could that be the problem?
[General] StartWithLastProfile=1
[Profile0] Name=default IsRelative=1 Path=Profiles/3zviq6ok.default-151 6995295322 Default=1
[Profile1] Name=default-1552836835519 IsRelative=1 Path=Profiles/tredj7fk.default-1552 836835519
That is the content of your current Profiles.ini file?
Default=1 is the profile Firefox will try to load at startup.
There shouldn't be a line break in those long numbers following the profile name. Those should match up exactly with the actual folder names in the Profiles folder.
Note: please turn on viewing of file extensions so we can have as precise a discussion of files as possible:

This is a screen shot below with the file extensions on.
Okay, if you compare with what exists in the Profiles folder, are either of those two listed folders present?
Here's a screen shot of what's in the profiles folder
