can't receive messages after 60.5.3 update
Have had McAfee support look and they can not find any problems. Based on time of 60.5.3 (20190304124934). 0807:21, it is something with Thunderbird. I am using mail.yahoo.com and using a browser I can receive all emails, just not using Thunderbird after the update. This is a POP account as we have the room and prefer to store emails on this pc.

I'm sorry you wasted your time, but like most applications, removing the application (or uninstalling) does NOT remove the application data.
BTW, ccleaner is unfortunately not to be trusted - it can delete important application
