On a certain web page are several boxes with a title and +, indicating that clicking on them should expand to additional information. For example:

   Opening times +  (Öffnungszeiten +)

https://www.stadt-zuerich.ch/kultur/de/index/institutionen/ausstellungen_stadthaus.html (sorry, it is only in German) I do not know if this problem exists also for other pages with similar constructs.

When I click on such a box (or +), I get the same page again. It does work (expand) correctly in Edge and in Opera. I have the latest version of Firefox.

Do I need to change some settings in Firefox? Thanks for the help.

I went to the webpage and had no problem.

Many site issues can be caused by corrupt cookies or cache.

If there is still a problem, Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web link} by holding down the <Shift> (Mac=Options) key, and then starting Firefox.

A small dialog should appear. Click Start In Safe Mode (not Refresh). Did this help?

While you are in safe mode;

Try disabling graphics hardware acceleration in Firefox. Since this feature was added to Firefox it has gradually improved but there are still a few glitches.

Thanks for the fast response. The cookies were not the problem, as I always clear the history. I tried the other two recommendations, but they did not solve the problem. I have now encountered several other pages with a similar problem. One of those pages I had used before successfully. I believe this problem started after I updated from Firefox 65.0 to 65.01. I just downloaded the latest updated 65.02, but the problem persists.

Make sure you are not blocking content.

One issue that seems more common lately is Firefox's Tracking Protection feature. When it is blocking content in a page, a shield icon will appear at the left end of the address bar next to the padlock icon. This article has more info on managing this feature: Tracking Protection {web link}
