Firefox Focus doesn't load web page in one step like it used to...
since the latest Firefox Focus update, Firefox isn't loading web pages in one step like it used to. For example,if I click on a link to a news story in Twitter, Firefox Focus opens as usual (it's my default browser), but the first thing that happens is the icon on the left hand side of the search/address bar shows an exclamation point in a triangle next to the web address. The page itself is blank at this point. Then, a page is loaded that says 'about:blank' in the search/address bar, before finally loading the webpage that I'd clicked on the link for. I've tried clearing the cache. I've also uninstalled and reinstalled.
I am aware that the 'about:blank' page used to load on occasion when I clicked on a link before it loaded the actual web page I'd selected, but not all the time. Now it's happening most of the time. I'm more concerned about this first extra page that shows an exclamation point in a triangle in the search/address bar, as this means Firefox Focus is adding an extra step before I get to the page I want.
Understandably, all this is slowing my browsing down.
I'm attaching here two screenshots to show what's happening. I wanted to go to cinema paradiso. In the first screenshot, you can see the first page (the blank one, with the web address in the search/address bar and the exclamation point in the triangle next to it). In the second screenshot, you can see the second page that loads (the blank page with 'about:blank' in the search/address bar. Finally, it takes me to the cinema paradiso website.
If anyone can tell me why this is happening and whether there's anything I can do to resolve it, I'd be grateful.
