When I click a tab on my firefox menu line I get an advert and have to delete it to get my selected site. How do I get rid of it
When I click on a bookmark tag I get adverts - for example - tvplusnewtag.com, moviefanatic.com, freeinternetspeedtracker. When I delete them, my selected tag is behind them

Is it just those sites? Any problem on other websites?
Go to the Mozilla Add-ons Web Page {web Link} (There’s a lot of good stuff here) and search for what a good ad / pop-up blocker.
It occurs on other sites, eg I can get on an investment site and go to a page on it and McAFEE pops up and says "Don't go there". I then cancel that and the page I requested is underneath. The Ad sites are tvplusnewtag.com, moviefanatics.com, and freeinternetspeedtracker.com. I did as you suggested and installed ad blocker for firefox but it hasn't solved the problem
You said you had problems with adverts. You didn't say they were McAfee warnings.
Open McAfee options and check them out. Also, contact McAfee support.
