the bookmark star doesnt highlight for some of my bookmarks and nothing i do fixes this, please help.
this has been a problem for me for a while. new bookmarks show but older ones, some arent that old tho, arent highlighted by the bookmark star but is clearly still in the bookmark folder. i even tried a few add-ons but nothing helps. i know it doesnt work because i can click the start again and it just creates another bookmark, so now i got 2 bookmarks of the same thing. if there isn't a fix for this and its just a firefox glitch or something, then ill just deal with it.
this is my first time doing something like this, so sorry if it doesnt help much.

Hi, that can happen if the website has slightly changed its address, but the bookmark still works because the website has set up a redirect to the new one. If you bookmark a new one and compare it with the old one by hovering your mouse over it, you should be able to see a difference in the URL. The old one can still be used, but if you want the Star to go blue, you will need to re-bookmark and delete the old one.

i didnt know that, i always thought something like that was a function of firefox to update the bookmarks when this happens but i guess i was wrong. im sorry if i wasted your time.
well does anyone know of an addon that mass updates the urls of bookmarks or do i have to do this manually.
im also having a weird problem with my bookmarks search, if i search something and then move it, it duplicates it or is this related to the original problem.
