Hello, my computer had a big problem and Windows 10 was installed again. Also Firefox was gone so I downloaded it but now the left side bookmark bar is empty. All my favourites are in a map in Windows Explorer but I cannot get them in the bookmark bar. Can you help me?

Hi Erik48, Firefox can import Windows Favo(u)rites, but they may appear in a single folder on the Boomarks Menu with a name like Imported Bookmarks instead of being placed in the same positions that IE displays them.

So first, could you try these steps:

Then second, you may need to reorganize the imported bookmarks onto the Bookmarks Toolbar, if that's where they would be most convenient for you. In the Library window (you would have opened that in the above steps), you can switch between the three main categories by clicking Bookmarks Toolbar, Bookmarks Menu, or Other Bookmarks in the left column. Then their contents should be listed on the right. You can drag and drop folder or multi-item selections from the list on the right to the Bookmarks Toolbar on the left.

If something goes terribly wrong, try Ctrl+z to "Undo".
