I need to merge multiple account files, which I have done in older versions of Thunderbird, I followed these instruction;

http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_Manager#Accessing_the_Profile_Manager

I tried bringing up profile manager per the above instruction with no results.

Thanks Larry

Isisombululo esikhethiwe

At the command prompt entered " (Thunderbird) ./thunderbird -profilemanager" as the link above instructed, or variation of, since it didn't work.

What didn't work? What is the directory you're in when running the command above?

merge multiple account files in multiple directories collected on thumbdrives, worked before.

I'm not exactly sure what that means, but I somehow doubt profile manager will be helpful for this.

~/.thunderbird$ thunderbird profilemanager

The command is

thunderbird -profilemanager

Note, there is a difference between

./thunderbird

and

thunderbird

commands.

Can you explain what you're trying to achieve by running the profile manager?

One little mistake people can do when trying to start Thunderbird with the ProfileManager for first time is dong so while Thunderbird is already running. Same thing with Firefox.
