ive used website http://www.aatw.com/tv/clubland/ for years to listen / watch their tv stream. last week it stopped working, ive messaged them for about a week and nothing changes and with n replies. is it something that has changed on the website, or something changed in firefox ? if its a setting in firefox, how do i step by step change things to allow the video stream. thanks paul.

I got the same error message the first time that I loaded the page, but when I refreshed the page, it worked fine for me.

If refreshing the page doesn't work for you, try going to the YouTube HTML5 test page to ensure that HTML5 video playback is working properly on your browser. I know that YouTube has nothing to do with the issue that you are having, but they have a really good testing tool.

It's normal for the MSE & WebM VP9 video codec to show a red exclamation mark, but all of the others should have a check mark. If they don't let us know which ones don't and we can see how to fix it.

Basically, HTML5 is the video playing software in Firefox. HTML5 supports different types of videos, which are called video codecs. Sometimes what happens is Firefox loses the ability to play a specific video codec for whatever reason. The reason usually depends on the video codec that is not working.

I've sent you to YouTube simply because they have a really simple testing tool that will test each HTML5 video codec to make sure it works and it will tell you which ones you are having issues with.

For example, I've attached a screenshot of the results I get when I go to the YouTube test page that I linked above. It shows that everything is working fine on my version of Firefox, except for the MSE & WebM VP9 video codec. This is normal since I don't think that the Firefox developers have added that feature yet.

The results from this page don't relate just to YouTube. It relates globally across all websites, YouTube is just the website that has the easiest results page to interpret.

When you go to the page, do any of the video codecs (other than MSE & WebM VP9) have a red exclamation mark next to them?

Hello, I follow the link you provided and I get the same error I open the network panel, filter to XHR and I notice the live.m3u8 the popular hls streaming format. Click on the Response I see: The Amazon CloudFront distribution is configured to block access from your country. I don't know which countries are allowed and which not You can try with a proxy or VPN and see what happen. Hope this help, Have a nice day.

Every check should be blue on the page youtube html5 page.

Perhaps you have a related preference changed from default in about:config or a Extension interfering.

Can you load this file?

You can try these steps in case of issues with web pages:

You can reload web page(s) and bypass the cache to refresh possibly outdated or corrupted files.

  • hold down the Shift key and left-click the Reload button
  • press "Ctrl + F5" or press "Ctrl + Shift + R" (Windows,Linux)
  • press "Command + Shift + R" (Mac)

Clear the Cache and remove the Cookies from websites that cause problems via the "3-bar" Firefox menu button (Options/Preferences).

"Remove the Cookies" from websites that cause problems:

  • Options/Preferences -> Privacy & Security
    Cookies and Site Data -> Manage Data

"Clear the Cache":

  • Options/Preferences -> Privacy & Security
    Cookies and Site Data -> Clear Data -> Cached Web Content: Clear

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions ("3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is is causing the problem.

  • switch to the DEFAULT theme: "3-bar" menu button or Tools -> Add-ons -> Appearance
  • do NOT click the "Refresh Firefox" button on the Safe Mode start window
