You actually change your email password with your email provider.
If you are asking how to change the password you told Thunderbird to remember go to... Options-Security-Passwords-Saved Passwords Click Show Passwords. Right click the password and select Edit.
You see without a password I cannot get into my mail
Then contact your email provider. They all have a system to reset a forgotten password
Ok I did the following suggestions, I PRIOR never had to sign into my email, just sign into computer. So now how do I get into my email I have tried changing email password without success
You always have to provide a password to your providers server to get your email. Either you tell Thunderbird to remember it and enter it for you or you do it yourself. If you go to the password location in Thunderbird shown above is your email password saved there? What is your real problem? Are you getting an error or what?
I use the saved email password, using it , still not getting into my email. IS that Clear?
Says I have a invalid password
Have you gone to your email providers webmail site and used your username and password to log in there? If so, can you log in there?
If yes, does the password you used at the provider site match what you told Thunderbird to remember?
There are other things that give the password error so the first step is to confirm that yotr password works at the providers site and that is the password you have saved in Thunderbird.
I have done that and thunderbird does not accept the password, providers technicians are working on the issue . So there is no technicians with thunderbird to assist?
How do I obtain the password stores in thunderbird? in hard copy?
1. Thunderbird does not accept or deny email passwords. Your email providers server does.
2. Thunderbird is free email client software. There is no staffed help desk.
3. Go to the password screen I reference above and write them down.
Incorrect server settings will cause the password error. Have you checked those settings to see if you need to change something?
An overactive antivirus software causes these issues too. If you start your computer in safe mode with networking does can your get mail with Thunderbird?
