Hi Stutt9gart,

First things first : "Mackeeper" is malware - please see these search results ......

Next :

You should download Firefox in your preferred language from here :

https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/all/

I don't know where you've been trying to download Firefox from, but just to be on the safe side : would you run some malware scans, please  ?

For more information : https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-caused-malware

Run most or all of the listed malware scanners. They all work differently - what one program doesn't pick up, the other might.

Hello McCoy... thank you for your reply, very much appreciated. Also thank you for telling me what " Mackeeper " is all about.

I performed the malware scan on Especially for Mac : https://www.malwarebytes.com/mac/

 since I have an iMac.

I also downloaded Firefox from :https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/all/ I am attaching a " Screen shoot of the Home Page " what is ** ChillTab, **and in the browser it says search Chill-Tab.com... is this the way it should be or do I need to run more malware scans .. Thank you again for your valuable assistance, have a niche evening... Stutt9gart

Hi, you need to run more scans or better yet let the Pros help you. Do not be afraid of them, have been there myself.

Uninstall any Bittorrent apps, uninstall cracked programs and delete cracks then Post in only 1 forum, then wait.

Oh boy - that search.chill-tab.com is a browser hijacker .....

Would you please take a look at this :

https://www.bugsfighter.com/remove-search-chill-tab-com-mac/

If that doesn't help you get rid of it, then you should definately run some more malware scans.

Good for you to be on the alert, though  !
