Printer does not work from firefox after your update
I have a brother 8710DW printer. Works fine from Microsoft word. Also works fine on Google Chrome. Since your update a couple of days ago I cannot print out email or banking information unless i print to cutepdf writer on my desktop and then print from my desktop. I am not the most "techie" guy so I need some simple assistance, please. Thanks, Mark S

What happens when you try to print from Firefox? Any error messages appear? Are you able to print all other pages except for the ones that you mentioned?
When I try to print directly from Firefox, my printer starts to beep and the error message I get says that I am "out of paper". However I am not out of paper. I can print fine from WORD and any of my PDF documents. On Firefox if I print to my Cute PDF and save on my desk top, I can then print the document from there. This is a ridiculous two-step process I never had to do before and I have no problem printing direct from Google Chrome. I should not have to pay my IT people to fix this problem when it is an obvious Firefox glitch when they updated their browser.
Have you tried resetting your printer back to factory default? Firefox wouldn't have any way to detect whether or not the printer has paper. That sounds more like an odd printer glitch to me.
The steps for resetting your printer will depend on the printer model, so refer to your user manual or the manufacturer website.
I contacted Brother- The machine was reset to factory defaults. In view of the fact that the printer works perfect everywhere else but Firefox tells their tech support that it is a Firefox software problem. I need someone to call me to fix the problem or you are forcing me to dump Firefox (which I love) and go to Google Chrome (where the printer works perfect). My IT people told me the same thing. Can Firefox tech support call me to help me resolve this problem. I know by the comments on the internet that many other people are having the same problem since you updated your software a few days ago. PLEASE CALL- THANK YOU MARK SCHWARTZ
