It probably wouldn't help where the file is located because files are stored compressed and there is also metadata like the HTTP headers included. You would have to use a cache viewer.

Hi, it seems that you can not view it in cache but you can view your History if that is what you would like to do. Is it view Cache you want or view History ? Mouse to top of page to a empty spot and Right Click and Check the Menu Bar then History --> View all History.

There are not any Extensions to do that and with changes since ver 60 I would think few programs.

Previously a record was kept in cache, of every single image. I want to find and save a particular image, that is not recorded under History by itself.

So yes please, if someone can still help me how to do this, I would be most grateful.

You can find the original URL of a cached file, information about the file, and the raw data, by opening the about:cache page (type or paste about:cache into the address bar and press Enter to open it).

However, when it comes to where that actually is on disk, I hit a dead end because the file names are obscured. I'm sure someone knows how to find a file, but it may require an external tool.

Found the file - thank you.

But now the problem is it won't open. The ones with the InfranView do at the top of the attached screen, but immediately beneath them, the icon changes and doesn't open.

Does anybody recognise this icon, and how to go about opening it please?o

It says it's an image/jpeg type, but perhaps it needs to be saved off with a proper file extension?
