Separate Security Issue: Update your Flash Player Note: Windows users should download the ActiveX for Internet Explorer. and the plugin for Plugin-based browsers (like Firefox).

Note: Windows 8 and Windows 10 have built-in flash players and Adobe will cause a conflict. Install the plugin only. Not the ActiveX.

Flash Player Version: Version 28.0.0.137

You can install the Firefox ESR 52 version which will get security updates into early 2018, to get "more time" using Firefox.

Yes, Windows 2000 is much too old!

Windows 2000 was a great improvement over Windows 98, and Windows XP was better. Now even XP has reached the end of the road with Firefox 52 (extended support release).

You could consider using Linux, but there may be some challenges with interoperability if your system configuration is uncommon. Ultimately, you may need a new system (or a new used system) to get a modern browser running.

It is to old. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/firefox-no-longer-works-windows-2000

Firefox 13.0 and later required Windows XP at minimum at least until 53.0 and later when WinXP/Vista was dropped and only supported by Firefox 52 ESR.

Not sure if the method of updating Win2000 mentioned in this thread http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?f=23&t=2482475 is still possible to get a more current version like Firefox 52.5.3 ESR or even 45.9.0 ESR installed.
