In the course of trying to solve a problem between Thunderbird and Yahoo (now resolved), I have somehow ended up with 3 copies of every folder in the Yahoo IMAP directory in my Thunderbird profile.

INBOX and INBOX.msf are the oldest [Date1] INBOX-2 and INBOX-2.msf were created after the former, before the next [Date2] INBOX-1 and INBOX-1.msf are the newest [Date3}

All my Yahoo folders have File, File.msf, File-1, File-1.msf, etc. in my profile.

I assume the newest files (the -1 files created on Date 3) reflect the current state of my Yahoo email.

How do I clean this up? Delete all the oldest files and then rename the newest ones (i.e., remove the -1)? Or does Thunderbird keep track of the folders via some other mechanism that must also be fixed?
