How to set from configuration file Adobe Reader plugin as default pdf viewer

Hi,

I need to configure from a config file the Adobe Reader plugin as default pdf viewer. I know that I can do it from Firefox GUI (https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/disable-built-pdf-viewer-and-use-another-viewer), but I want to know which is the correct file to manually set that option. I already tried to modify mimeTypes.rdf file but it doesn't work. I noticed that when I set the Adobe plugin from Firefox GUI in the mimeTypes file I find this lines:

<RDF:Description RDF:about="urn:mimetype:handler:application/pdf" 

                  NC:saveToDisk="true"
                  NC:alwaysAsk="false" />

The problem is that if I re-install Firefox and I copy mimeTypes file with this parameters the result is that the pdf files are downloaded and not opened with the Adobe plugin.

Am I looking inside the wrong file? Which is the right file?
