Firefox stops working when I log into websites
Firefox did an automatic update yesterday (10/5/17). Since then, when I go to log into a site, the browser stops working. I cleared my cashe and cookies a few days ago and was revisiting/logging into sites for the first time since doing so. I tried resetting Firefox, running it in safe mode, and disabling add-ons with no improvement. I am running Windows 10. I am also legally blind and running JAWS Version 16.0.4474. At a loss of what else I can do. Thanks.

What's your computer system and Firefox version?
Some problems occur when your Internet security program was set to trust the previous version of Firefox, but no longer recognizes your updated version as trusted. Now how to fix the problem: To allow Firefox to connect to the Internet again;
- Make sure your Internet security software is up-to-date (i.e. you are running the latest version).

Computer system--do you mean Windows 10 or something else. I believe it's Firefox 56.0 Is internet security software my antivirus software?
A firewall protects your computer by only allowing connections that you approve of beforehand.
This is mostly automatic.
I tried the Firewall solution, but unfortunately, the problem persists. I downloaded an attachment from an email of a trusted sender, and Mozilla froze. After doing a hard restart of my computer, I noticed that the file was, in fact downloaded. Similarly, when I logged into a site and clicked the "remember me" option on said site, when I restarted my computer after Mozilla crashed, I was logged into the site. So, the processes are working. Mozilla is just crashing.
Is it possible this is a Malware problem?

Run most or all of the listed malware scanners. Each works differently. If one program misses something, another may pick it up.
In the address bar, type about:crashes<enter>. Note: If any reports do not have BP- in front of the numbers/letters, click it to submit them.
The crash report is several pages of data. We need the report numbers to see the whole report.
Using your mouse, mark the most recent 7 - 10 crash reports, and copy them. Now go to the reply box and paste them in.
