When I opened my browser today I had a pop up saying that Bitdefender Wallet was added (screen shot attached). I didn't ask for this to be done and was wondering how it happened? Anyway to contact Firefox to ask this question as I can't find a number online?

Any help is greatly appreciated!

While Firefox program and updates may include add-ons by Mozilla, it would not include 3rd party programs.

It’s very sad, but many software downloaders/ installers will trick you into installing not only their program, but other programs as well.

You have heard of the fine print in shady contracts, right? Well, some installers you need to look at the itsy bitsy teeny weeny fine print.

You are thinking you are giving the installer permission to install the program you want by using the recommended option. But if you use the Manual Option Instead, you discover all kinds of stuff that you do not even know what it is or what it does.

From now on, everyone needs to Use The Manual Option to put a stop to this.

Note that these programs can also change browser/computer settings.

The truth is, I think someone tried to install this on my machine. Maybe next step is to ask Bitefender if thy automatically asked for this instal with an automatic update...

The Bitdefender application is who is installing a extension in Firefox

The desktop Firefox from mozilla.org or www.mozilla.org/firefox/all/ does not come with any Extensions.

Mozilla is the company that makes the web browser Firefox. Mozilla does not have resources for call centres to do one on one support by phone, chat, and or email especially since it would be for free.
