I'm switching to Chrome now because Firefox won't let me keep my add-ons

more options

I was already looking into switching to Chrome because of the move to "Web Extension"-only add-ons with 57, but the latest update to 55.0.3 has already disabled half of my add-ons, INCLUDING UBLOCK ORIGIN, which is 100% unacceptable. So, vaya con Diablo, Firefox, I'm abandoning this browser sooner than expected.

If you find Chrome less wonderful than you hoped, feel free to mention the other extensions that are having problems on your Firefox.

For uBlock Origin in particular, you can try the steps listed by the developer here:

https://github.com/gorhill/uBlock/releases/tag/1.13.10

Those are, either:

(A) uninstall uBO, exit Firefox and start it up again, then reinstall uBO (B) roll back to an earlier version of uBO listed in the article

I've tried all of that. The only thing that works is literally reinstalling uBO every single time I restart Firefox.

After installing 1.13.8 did you disable updating of the extension on the Add-ons page (click the More link for the extension, and scroll down below the description for the updating options). Or maybe you need to do it before rolling back. I don't use uBO myself.
