I recently refreshed firefox...now all the websites I had listed in my toolbar are gone. How do I get them back?

When you Refresh Firefox, you should not lose your bookmarks, but the Bookmarks Toolbar goes back to being hidden. So the first step is to make sure it is being displayed:
To turn different bars on and off, you can use one of these methods to show the toolbar list and select the desired bars there:
- right-click a blank spot on the tab bar (or the "+" button after the tabs)
- tap the Alt key to activate the classic menu bar > View > Toolbars
- in Customize mode > Show/Hide Toolbars (see: Customize Firefox controls, buttons and toolbars)
To turn on the Bookmarks Toolbar, Menu Bar, or other bars, click it on the list.
Does that help?
If the Bookmarks Toolbar only shows the few bookmarks that come with Firefox, we may need to help you recover an older bookmark backup from a folder on your desktop that the Refresh creates, called Old Firefox Data -- can you find that folder?
