Please post your settings.

  1. In Thunderbird, go to Help|Troubleshooting Information.
  2. Clear the checkbox "Include account names".
  3. Click "Copy text to clipboard".
  4. In your reply to this forum, paste the information from your clipboard into your posting. Ctrl+v is a common shortcut for pasting.

We don't need all the stuff about printers and fonts. You can remove this.

The Firefox setting are meaningless when your question is about Thunderbird. Try posting the info for Thunderbird.

You do appear to have two distinct incoming email accounts there. It is not obvious why deleting one should affect the other.

One oddity is that you have set the orange account to use the outlook smtp server. I am not sure if the outlook server will transport messages using another domain in the sender's address.

I presume that you are deleting the account in the correct way:

  1. Tools|Account Settings
  2. Select the account you want to use as default
  3. Click the button at the bottom (usually labelled Account Actions)
  4. Click Set as Default
  5. Select the unwanted account
  6. Click the button at the bottom (now -stupidly!- labelled Set as Default)
  7. Click Remove Account

I still don't know the scenario for your first posting where you reported that deleting one account took another with it.

I suspect this points to a corrupted profile. I can't see that we have done anything (yet) to correct this.

One route would be to start over with a clean profile. If you're using IMAP then your messages are on the server. For POP and Local Folders accounts, you could move the original message store files into your new profile.

That leaves Address Books and filters, and maybe calendars. In the first two cases, the appropriate files can be copied over, though if you have any user-defined address books you'll also need to import those into Thunderbird's Address Book using the More Functions For Address Book add-on.

I suspect there are sqlite database files for the calendar, but I have too little experience of working with these to make any useful suggestions. Calendars could also be exported and re-imported via ics files.

It would help if you specify your problem and explain which setting is not working, more than a picture of whoever. The only thing I see in your report is:
