I have been trying to get on the internet on a computer that I had not turned on for months. I cannot access the internet using Mozilla, Internet Explorer, or any browser. I have been trying to get a chat started with Mozilla, and cannot, in spite of resetting my username and password. I am about to explode. Can someone please tell me how to get in touch with a human being so I can troubleshoot my problem?

Check the connections between the computer and the modem. If the modem uses WIFI, make sure it turned on and the correct password is being used.

Some problems occur when your Internet security program was set to trust the previous version of Firefox, but no longer recognizes your updated version as trusted. Now how to fix the problem: To allow Firefox to connect to the Internet again;

  • Make sure your Internet security software is up-to-date (i.e. you are running the latest version).
  • Remove Firefox from your program's list of trusted or recognized programs. For detailed instructions, see

Well you are on the internet now, No doubt using a different Computer.

If the other computer is not working with Internet Explorer or other browsers, it is probably NOT a Mozilla Firefox problem. Try some Windows forum for instance

Take care where you get advice you will get some very much human people more interested in relieving you of your money than in providing any solution

First, thank you to the folks that responded to my query. I ended up downloading the latest version of Mozilla, then I was able to get on the internet. I guess I may never know why I couldn't get on using Internet Explorer either. I'm only moderately savvy with technology, so I don't remember how I managed to download the new Mozilla version (yesterday). Again, I truly appreciate the two people who replied so promptly!
