You posted in the Firefox support fora queue. Firefox doesn't do email, it's strictly a web browser.

If you are using Firefox to access your mail, you are using "web-mail" such as Yahoo!Mail or Gmail. You need to seek support from your service provider or a forum for that service.

If your problem is with Thunderbird, let us know and we can move this thread to the Thunderbird support queue.

I had to go through many steps, before I can write down my complains. Therefore I thought, it is clear I talk about "Thunderbird" and not about "Firefox". Sorry, the differences between a e-mail program and a web browser, I know. Again: In "Thunderbird", I look for my new mail. I set the cursor to one of it. Then, I can see the text of my mail. But I can't see any external content. I read, it is suppresses for my security. I click on "show me external contents" but nothing happens. My second PC, beside the first, show me all correct. Both PC running with Win 7 ultimate x86. Maybe 3 hours, I used to compare the settings of both. The settings at some menus and submenus: Exactly the same. It is the same Thunderbird-version too: 45.2.0. I are electronic Engineer. 73 years old, not dement. I need only explained how I can see the external contents of my messages with external contents at both computers. Thank you for your effort. Many greetings, Herbert

You didn't specify WHAT Mozilla product you were asking for support for when you posted the question plus you are in the Firefox forum. I'll go ahead and move this to the Thunderbird queue.
