That problem seems to be gone but what about the main one that started me on this quest. I still can't send out e-mail on my Windows e-mail program since the Firefox download. The e-mails transfer into Windows from Att.net OK all else works on Windows e-mail program but won't send out mail. Error is about authentication setting might not be correct for out going e-mail SMTF server. Server response & error #581 Server SATP att.yahoo.com errir OX800CCC79. Whatever all that means. I did not set this all up when I bought it Best Buy did it all for me.

Firefox has no connection to your e-mail program other than telling it you want to send a message.

Microsoft does not directly control the server address. It was set with A.T.T. with the original computer set up. It also was linked to the Windows e-mail program and worked fine with Explorer. As soon as I did the Firefox download it would not send on Windows. Still will send on the A.T.T.mail program if I go on that. It is a much harder program and I have all kinds of stored and other things on Windows mail I need to be able to send when I want to. I think Help Troubleshoot Windows Mail would maybe be where I need to go but don't know how to get into that.
