"Access Denied" for various links
Dear all,
For some time now, I have trouble with accessing links which are sent to my via email. However, the trouble is that it appears to be happening randomly.
A couple of days I couldn't access a newsletter via clicking on the link (in gmail), but the next day I could access it without any problems. When going to the site directly, there was no problem whatsoever and I could read the article without any problem. However, links to other sites were causing problems by then.
This started to happen about 2 weeks ago; before that I didn't have any problems with opening links. I've tried to check if any of the settings in my browser have changed, but as far as I can see all is the same as 3 weeks ago. Also, there appears not to be any patern between the error and the plance from where I browse, as the problem happens both at home and when I'm at the university.
I've made a screenshot of the screen I get when the accessing fails. For different sites the actual code given (#18. etc.) is different, even though most start with #18. Does anybody have any idea what causes this problem and how to solve it, as it anoying not to be able to open links directly....
Thanks!

Having more than one version of a program may cause issues.
You must remove the older programs. Then get the current full installer.
Note: Edge on Win10 does not use ActiveX version but its own Flash.
Flash: Grab the uninstaller from here: Uninstall Flash Player | Windows Uninstall Flash Player | Mac
Then reinstall the latest version.
Flash Player Version 20.0.0.235

Note: Windows users should download the ‘’’active_x’’’ for “Internet Explorer,”
and the ‘’’plugin’’’ for “Plugin-based browsers” (like Firefox).
Adobe still offers Flash 18.0.0.268 as its extended support release further down
There is security software like Avast and Kaspersky and BitDefender and ESET that intercept secure connections and send their own certificate.

Are you using a bookmark or are you starting with the main (home) page of this website?
If you use a bookmark or use a link that has specific GET data appended to the link to open a specific page on the server then try to navigate to that page starting with the main page or the sign in page in case this bookmark or link is currently broken.
