Firefox crashes my iPad Air

When opening Firefox, after the splash screen appears, my iPad crashes immediately and shows the apple logo. I tried opening it again and it does the same. Finally I tried manually restarting the iPad by holding down the sleep wake switch and then turn it on again. It seems to solve the problem for now, but after a while if I try using it again, the same problem happens!
