A few sites will open a page that says "firefox doesn't know about if this site is alright, what do you want?" and the choices are like add exception or get me out of here.

Where can I view the list of sites I have used and get rid of them?

Sorry if this has been asked before. I searched everywhere but couldn't find it.

If you can view the error again, it would be helpful to sort out which kind it is in more details. For example:

  • untrusted connection, or secure connection failed
  • attack site, phishing site (usually has a red box)

The untrusted connection error message is caused by a problem with the certificate presented by the site. For example, it could be expired, or it might not be properly connected to a trusted issuer.

If you opened a section of the page called "I understand the risk" and used the "Add Exception" button there, you can remove the exceptions from the Certificate Manager here:

"3-bar" menu button (or Tools menu) > Options > Advanced

On the Advanced Options panel, there is a row of mini-tabs along the top. Click the Certificates mini-tab, and then the View Certificates button.

That should open the Certificate Manager. Click the "Servers" tab to find site-specific exceptions. Ignore the ones where the server is designated as "*", those were not ones you added. To remove one, select it, and the Delete button should be enabled.

Is that what you were looking for?

portland.suntimes.com uses an invalid security certificate. The certificate is only valid for the following names: *.aggrego.com, aggrego.com (Error code: ssl_error_bad_cert_domain)

Looks that this website needs to be accessed via an open HTTP connection and not via a secure connection.

Are you using an extension that forces a secure connection?
