Hi,

Over the past few days, I've been having a problem with Firefox (on Windows desltop). It has recently stopped saving add ons I install, even those which I previously had installed and were saved.

An example is "Awesome Screenshot" which I have used had installed previously.

I have not installed any new software, or updating anything in the last couple of weeks so I can't see how that is the cause.

I have tried restoring firefox, but this has not solved the problem.

Anyone able to assist please (as its driving me crazy having to accept the installation of each ad on, every time I open a session of Firefox) ?

Many thanks.

It is possible that there is a problem with the file(s) that store the extensions registry.

Delete the extensions.* files (e.g. extensions.json, extensions.sqlite, extensions.ini) and compatibility.ini in the Firefox profile folder to reset the extensions registry.

New files will be created when required.
