</p><p>I did it by booting up my computer in a "startup repair" mode. I was trying to get to my BIOS upon startup but got to this screen somehow (i.e. attached image)
</p><p>After I got to my home screen I also ran CCleaner and used their "Registry" repair option in case the problem was there.
</p><p>One of these two (or both) did the trick. Thank you all for your responses too. I hope this helps others as well.

Firefox: Latest version. Fresh install made no difference.
