hi benny0147, currently there only firefox beta versions in 64bit for windows. they'd be available for download at https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/beta/all/

will I lose any bookmarks and sites I have stored on the toolbar?

no, all your data and customisations like bookmarks, passwords, settings, addons etc will stay in place. edit: if you have an system with an intel/nvidia dual graphics card setup, i wouldn't advice trying beta though, since this configuration is experiencing a nasty startup crash at the moment.

You could try Waterfox.

Note that 64 bit Firefox versions on a 64 bit Windows platform will only support the Shockwave Flash plugin. If you need support for other plugins (Java or media players) then you need to stay with 32 bit Firefox version.

Hi benny0147, this article suggests ways to back up your Firefox data so you'll be able to restore it in the event of a major problem: Back up and restore information in Firefox profiles.

Why are you interested in a 64-bit build of Firefox? Do you find that the 32-bit build is running out of memory too soon to meet your requirements?

Note that by using the Beta channel builds you will get updates for new Beta builds of 42.0b# and then 43.0b# and on. There are often six to twelve Beta builds for a version on the Beta channel. To get back to Release channel you will have to install Release.

The third-party Waterfox builds will be pointless once Win64 builds are available for Release from Mozilla as early as Firefox 42.0 unless it changes.

However the Win64 Release will be low key initially as it will not be on www.mozilla.org or www.mozilla.org/firefox/all page then but say archive.mozilla.org
