new version 41 newtab.url doesn't work
Firefox new version 41 makes 'browser.newtab.url' doesn't work. the value is 'https://www.google.com.tw/' after updating, it no longer works. How to fix this problem?

Hello brad821228, yes from 41 the browser.newtab.url preference is abused and should be removed (bug Bug 1118285)
try to install the next add-on : New Tab Override (browser.newtab.url replacement), and after that, modify (double-click on it) the next preference
- extensions.newtaboverride@agenedia.com.url
to https://www.google.com.tw/ OR any other url you want
probably now you are able to see your url in the new tab page. :-)

Note that the Firefox 41.0 is not a new version as it is on the Beta channel while Fx 40.0 is the new Release version. There can be six to twelve Beta builds for a version that n the Beta channel.
