I was completely satisified with mozilla firefox until recently.... I have had problems and seemed to have fixed them but now.... firefox crashes and I think a group of guys I dont even know are taking over my browser one is a male voice reporting to me in an audio message that my firefox is unstable and going to cradh then it does then just now a video of a group of young guys takes over my browser with a video of them watching a computer screen and the guy holding the camera is acting as if hes aiming the camera at me and motioning me to look over their shoulders at what they are looking at i get so upset that i control alt delete the computer run lavasoft windows defender and now malwarebytes and no one has anything to report wrong Now Im scared to even type you to tell you the problem or even log into my email to see your response

hello, as this sounds like a problem with malware on your pc, please perform all these steps:

  1. reset firefox (this will keep your bookmarks and passwords)
  2. afterwards go to the firefox menu ≡ > addons > extensions and in case there are still extensions listed there, disable them.
  3. finally run a full scan of your system with different security tools like the free version of malwarebytes and adwcleaner to make sure that adware isn't present in other places of your system as well.

Thanks Philipp,

As I mentioned, I did run malware actually malware bytes https://www.malwarebytes.org/lp/sem/5/?gclid=CI20hpasmscCFdMWHwodl7IHUQ and after I run a full scan there are no problems to report. I have also run a full scan of lavasoft-adaware http://www.lavasoft.com/landing/free_pro.php?uid=1009709 And a full scan of Windows defender

All 3 report no problems after a full system scan I have wiped my computer clean back to the mfg date and reinstalled firefox and all 3 programs listed above

I started having these problems after the firefox mozilla update 39.0 and have had continuous problems since

Every time I open the firefox mozilla browser in safe( private mode) my screen the windows screen goes completely black and then the audio message of firefox being unstable and going to crash comes on then it does. I after I control alt delete to get some kinda control I get out i go to internet options and delete everything

I have also done the system restore to an earlier date and reinstalled again mozilla firefox and again it happens

I have opened internet explorer (7) and it doesn't happen in the browser so far

If you read my crash reports or any other information you can see I have no add ons

I have 2 plug ins ~ I'm assuming is from mozilla firefox open h264 video codec primetime content decryption module

hello, we don't have access to your crash reports or other configuration info unless you make that available. could you go to the firefox menu ≡ > help ? > troubleshooting information, copy the contents of that page and paste them here into a reply on the forum?
