When I leave my computer, I leave Firefox waiting on NY Times website (have tried others), and when I come back after a while, the program is slow and jerky.... looking at Task Manager, I see that many different copies of command.exe*32 have been loaded in the background and are slowing me down... how do I stop this?

I think the command.exe*32 is a Windows program.

If the computer is not being used, some auto programs (repair, cleaning, scanning, and others) will start running.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web Link} by holding down the <Shift>
(Mac Options)
key, and then starting Firefox. Is the problem still there?
