Hi Noel,

Are these the steps that you followed? http://delta-homes.com/uninstall/firefox.html

If yes, you might need to remove it from your registry. If that is the case, this link might help you. http://www.techsupportall.com/how-to-remove-delta-search-home-page-ie-firefox-chrome/

Let me know how you get on!

thank you for your replies, resetting firefox didnt remove it, my malware program could not find the virus. i searched the net for other ways to get rid of it, and ended up having to manually remove the exe part of the virus that had attached itself to my startup menu for all my browsers. what i am finding more frustrating is ive read that this virus gets onto the computer from having downloaded a new program.(either a game or to be able to watch some sort of video)...only thing is, when the virus appeared on my computer, the only thing that had been downloaded was the latest version of firefox !!!!

Sorry to hear that. There are some sites that advertise Firefox downloads on search engines to promote their "updaters" or other bundlers. You get the real Firefox, but you get so much more that you don't really want...

What version do you have now? You can find that on the support information page, Either:

  • "3-bar" menu button > "?" button > Troubleshooting Information
  • (menu bar) Help > Troubleshooting Information
  • type or paste about:support in the address bar and press Enter

Hmm, that shouldn't be possible, the update servers should always have clean files.
