How do I remove previous searches permanently?
The thing I HATE about computers and computer programs is that they don't let dead dogs lie, ya' know!!? I just want to throw things away but the dang computer just hangs on and on. SO, perfect example, with Firefox if I type one letter into a search window it lists everything I ever looked at, every person, every irrelevant thing I don't want to see or have the computer remember. How do I clear these old searches FOREVER???

Use these steps to remove saved (form) data from a drop-down list:
- click the (empty) input field on the web page to open the drop-down list
- highlight an entry in the drop-down list with the mouse or cursor Down key
do not click the mouse or press the Enter key - press the Delete key (on Mac: Shift+Delete) to delete the highlighted entry
Make sure that you do not get confused by "Search suggestions".

Hi, here's a couple of articles that should help -
Settings for privacy, browsing history and do-not-track
Use the Search bar in Firefox and manage search engines
(For Options on Mac, I think you need Preferences).
Hope that helps.
