Need location of browsing history for recovery
i am using Firefox 36.0.1 on win 8.1 While filtering history on a keyword ("alpha", i wanted to delete some highlighted files. I pressed delete and ALL of the 'alpha' entries were deleted, not just those highlighted. I have a backup image which is searchable ( a few weeks old but hopefully good enough for my purposes), but when i look for places.sqlite on my C drive all i can see is the Thunderbird places.sqlite. Where is the Firefox equivalent, what is it called? Alternatively, does the current history db still contain "mark for deletion" history which can be recovered?
Thanks in advance

ok i found it, in Mozilla in appdata roaming. I don't understand why file explorer couldn't find it in search. Anyway i recovered the three places.sqlite db files after renaming the current ones, so this is closed for me.

Nice work.
These add-ons can be a great help by backing up and restoring Firefox
FEBE (Firefox Environment Backup Extension) {web link} FEBE allows you to quickly and easily backup your Firefox extensions, history, passwords, and more. In fact, it goes beyond just backing up -- It will actually rebuild your saved files individually into installable .xpi files. It will also make backup of files that you choose.
