When I try to visit most sites, the message "waiting for fonts googleapis..." appears at the bottom of my screen and most sites timeout before I can view them.

For the past couple days, I have had issues with FIrefox on my desktop computer. I am able to access my frequently visited sites (yahoo mail, google, etc) but when I go to any new sites, they timeout before they open. For example, I can easily do a search on google and the results come up quickly. But if I click on any of the results, I am seeing the message "waiting for fonts googleapis" at the bottom left of my computer screen and it takes FOREVER to open or doesn't open at all. I tried troubleshooting in safe mode and it still appears to be an issue. Also restarted Firefox to default at still an issue.

Also, This is the message I receive when the page doesn't open:

The connection was reset

The connection to the server was reset while the page was loading.

The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few moments.
If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network connection.
If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.
