Make sure you are downloading from:

• https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/new/
• (full installers for all localizations) https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all/

Downloading at 3kb/s is awfully slow and not normal unless a ton of other stuff is being downloaded at the same time. If you are still having trouble, try downloading on another computer and transferring via USB or some other medium.

I have attempted the download from the official webpage (I'm very careful about that sort of thing), I've tried it now on all three of the computers in the house, all downloading at ~3kb/s. nothing else downloading in the background, no windows or extraneous processes running, nothing utilizing the network at all except for the setup download. weird!

That is very strange - all other downloads are fine?

What happens if you use this link?

• Not sure which language you prefer; if you want US English click on the folder "en-US" and then download the setup file - "Firefox Setup 33.1.exe".

That worked. I had downloaded the stub installer, it was not working for some reason. Thanks!

Note that for future updates, in Firefox you can just go to:

• Help (or > ) > About Firefox

Instead of having to download the full installer again. Hopefully you won't get slowed down for those. Enjoy!
