Hi openzte,

I'm sorry to hear that you are having issues sending images via text messages in your ZTE Open C.

Do you have Wi-Fi turned on in your device? There have been reports of issues when sending MMS (Multimedia Messaging Service) with Wi-Fi turned on. Please attempt to turn it off so that your carrier data works correctly for MMS.

If you continue to have issues sending MMS, please reply to this thread with the following information, so that we may investigate the problem you are experiencing:

  • What is the OS version and Build ID found in the Device Information page? Please visit this link if you need help finding the Build ID of your phone.
  • Please provide the exact steps to reproduce the issue you are encountering.
  • Who is your current cell phone carrier?
  • How often do you encounter this issue?

Please be sure to include as much detail as possible, including any websites that may exhibit this issue, and any error messages that you may be receiving, exactly as they appear. This will ensure that we will have all the information needed to investigate into this. Thank you for your help and we look forward to hearing from you!

Hi irenegorton,

I don't know if the other user resolved his issue because he never replied.

I finally got it working. I am running on the at&t network thru H2O (pay as you go). I got H2O to send me some settings. The settings were for the "access points". Such as: APN, Proxy, Port, Name, MMSC, MMS proxy, MMs Port, MNC, MVNO type. The problem with inputting all of this though, is on Firefox OS some of these have different names. I am somewhat computer savvy and had trouble figuring some of it out. I finally got it working tho. I had no idea that firefox was sooooooo complicated. I use FF on my laptop all the time. Running old Linux mint 9 BTW. I have had several different types of cell phones thru the years. CDMA and GSM networks. I have never had to go thru so much CRAP to get a phone working. I like tinkering with new stuff and have learned a lot. However, I would not recommend the common (low information) person try the Firefox phone. It is like a lot of other technology that just does not work out of the box.

My phone is a ZTE Open C. It has ZTE Firefox OS on the back cover.

I have switched it over to android at this time just for fun. I had to put all of the settings in again but it was not as hard to figure because the settings matched what was sent by H2O. I will switch back and forth between FF and android just to compare the two.

My main phone is an iphone 4s on Verizon running thru pageplus. I will be switching it to a HTC M8 very soon tho.

Hope this is enough info.
