When I go to Mint.com and try to login, the login screen says Mint.com is not safe. It will not let me log in. It gives an option to dismiss advice. When I select that option it still will not allow me to login. I tried the most recent version of foxfire and also the beta version. I get the same results with both. I have used Mint.com for years and I used it with foxfire on the computer. I need to use it on my Nexus 4 smartphone. If I am to use Foxfire on my phone it must work with Mint. Mint.com is safe. No account numbers or passwords are stored in Mint. A hacker would see account names and entries but cannot do anything with the info. There is Nothing that could be used for ID theft. It is strictly a display of transactions in an account. Please tell me how I can login to Mint on your browser.

Is the url https://www.mint.com/m/?url=%2F ?

It also looks like there is a desktop site and an app. Can you please update to Firefox 33 and make sure that clearing the cache does not resolve this issue?

One way to post a screen shot is to share it from the Android gallery to yourself by email (email to yourself), then on your desktop computer you can save it from your email to your hard drive and attach it to a reply.

There is a Browse button below the text entry area if you reply to your existing question: https://support.mozilla.org/questions/1025308

Did you get my description of the screen shot I sent? I could not get the shot to this site from my nexus 4. Sorry if I confuse you but this is the first time I've used this and I am still learning.

Don't know what the ghostery extension is but you described the problem I am having. If you find can way around it please share. I appreciate all help. If I ignore the symbol and try to log in the screen disappears before I can finish. It then reappears for me to login. The same thing happens over and over whether I ignore the symbol or try to dismiss the advice.

I suggest submitting the problem to Mint for comments. I suppose they might point you to their app.

You also could try the "Phony" add-on and tell Mint you're on a desktop browser and see whether that makes any difference.

Since I do not have an account, it's difficult for me to test.

I have already submitted the problem to Mint.com when I it happened. I have had their app for years. There are things that the app will not allow you to do. For those you have to go online and login to Mint.com. With mint that seems to occur almost every day. I have been using Chrome which came on my Nexus 4 to do that. As of Chrome's 10/9/14 update, it will no longer load the Mint login screen. I have used Firefox on the computer in the past. I have not tried it in a while. In any event that is not a satisfactory solution. I need to be able to it on the phone, not run to the computer. I also notified Chrome. No response. Mint.com has escalated the problems to their engineers. Meanwhile I am using a 2 year old version of Chrome that came preloaded on my phone. I appreciate your efforts on my behalf. Thanks.

One option could be to turn off protection against mixed active content while you use the site, then turn it back on afterwards. This increases the risk of theft of the personal information you are viewing and entering on the site, so obviously I do not recommend it, and certainly not on an open wi-fi connection since any leak could be easily sniffed. But if you wanted to do that, here is how you would.

(1) Open a new tab to about:config (type about:config in the Awesomebar and tap Go).

You may want to bookmark this for easier future access, and keep it open to revert the setting after finishing your Mint session.

(2) In the search box, type mix and tap the magnifying glass icon

(3) Scroll down to security.mixed_content.block_active_content and tap the preference, then tap Toggle to switch it from true to false.

If you switch back to your Mint tab and reload, the mixed content block icon (shield) should disappear from the address bar. Also, the padlock will disappear during the loading of the page, since the page is not fully secure.

Does that make any difference in whether you can log in?

For your security, please remember to switch this setting back on.

"Phony" suggested earlier is not available for Androids. I'll consider your last suggestion but the mint engineers are working on it now so I will wait and see what they come up with. In the mean time I can use my 2 year old version of Chrome. I like Firefox but unless there is absolutely no alternative I don't want to take the risk. I am paranoid about security since I use this phone for a lot of financial stuff. I appreciate all the time you have spent helping me. Thanks again.
