I cannot print just a selection of a page, what can I do?
I have seen that other people have asked this question also, but none of the replies on the forum are satisfactory. They all say it is not a good thing what you have done with the print option. I want to print a simple recipe, maybe half a page, I go to print and cannot select the option to print just the selection. It shows 7 pages to print! What a waste of time, paper, and ink!!! The only option people seem to have found is to copy the selection and paste it in a word document. Then you end up with a lot of junk in word that is not needed. This is also time consuming. My old version of foxfire didn't have this problem. Please fix this issue or I will be forced to switch to another browser, which I don't want to do as foxfire still has the least crashes of any browser I have used.

You can't select that in the print options. If you want to print a selection then you need to select that part of the page with the mouse and then you can print that selection. Note that you can't use preview when you print a selection.
- Universal Print: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/universal-print/
Simple answer is - don't use the Print button when you want to print a selection.
- Select the text that you want to print.
- Use { Ctrl + P } to open the "native print dialog".
- 'tick' Selection under Print Range
- Hit the Print button in that dialog box to print that "selection".
