How to set up thunderbird now it has been downloaded to android tablet
Samsung galaxy tab pro 8.4. I am assuming as it down loaded ok I can use it?

Thunderbird is only for desktop Windows, Mac OSX and Linux from mozilla.

There is no version of Thunderbird that works with Android or any other smart phones or tablets. Your tablet should have come with an email client. Use that or download one that works with Android.

Which means that I just enter the settings that I have for Thunderbird and I'll receive my 'Thunderbird' directed e-mails?
What are Thunderbird directed emails? Email comes from email provider servers. Email clients, like Thunderbird, connect to those servers and download your email. An email client operating on a phone or tablet has no need or knowledge of Thunderbird to connect to your providers server. You are correct that you need to input the server settings for your providers servers to use an email client.
